To go anywhere from Ushuaia you have to travel back on the road you drove in on.
When approaching Tolhuin we decided to stop at the famed Panaderia. Friends in the US had waxed lyrical about the yummy pastries so the driver absolutely had to try them for himself. Thumbs up Rick!
Just north of Tolhuin we spent our first night out in the little meadow by the stream where we had camped on our way down to Ushuaia. While there we were befriended by a family from a neighboring town who were out camping for the first time with their brand new tent.
They invited us to take Mate with them. Mate is an Argentinian herbal tea. We both found it very bitter, a little disappointing as we were looking forward to trying it immensely before we left Argentina.
